woodworking lathe

What is the value of a vintage Oliver Lathe Model 56 B?
I want to sell a vintage Oliver woodworking lathe. The only numbers I it can find are at 56 as I would like to know the value before I sell it a try. It is made of cast iron. It has a motor with a belt. Its huge. and heavy. It was it given to shut my father out of an old school again in the 60th It was old when he did.
Not the answer you are looking for, but any case to receive more information before you list it. Did a quick search because I would love ……. have a much too big for me. Looks like the 56B has a 72 "bed and possibly a bowl turning tool rest and faceplate at the rear of the drive side. Check engine plate for HP, voltage and phase could be 1940 vintage? Depending on the mechanical state (not just looks) worth more than a few hundred to the right person. A similar new one would cost a few thousand. Worth some time researching online. Yours sincerely,

Maybe you’ve halted projects in mid-stream because of frustration or from running out of ideas. To read more, please click here:Woodworking4Home
