Traditional woodworking schools?

Hi I've found that most of my interests turn the wood around the wood working and turning. I would really like to study history of woodworking and all about traditional woodworking. Do you know of any schools or places to teach these things? Thanks a lot everyone! BOOOM

My father has been involved in a local woodworking guild, where people who enjoyed woodworking and got together shared knowledge. Perhaps this be a good resource for you. I know that there are several magazines devoted to woodworking and turning. I live in Fort Worth, Texas, and we have a local attraction called the Log Cabin Village. It is a group of log houses that were moved, and the lecturers are mostly people to do the interest in the old ways, things like Hand spinning fibers. There are at least a couple of teachers, the use of old love of woodworking techniques. So if you're near a Museum of Natural History, could to see if they have some shopping resources. Wood was one of my favorite classes in school, but I have not really done much in the hobby since I graduated.

Since you found this site, you must enjoy working with wood. And if you’re like me, you’ve probably spent hundreds of hard-earned dollars on wood plans and projects that turned out to be disappointing (or maybe even disastrous!). Maybe you’ve halted projects in mid-stream because of frustration or from running out of ideas. To read more, please click here:Woodworking4Home
