Woodworking in pregnancy is dangerous …. especially walnut dust?

My father owns his own company to create custom Wooden sculptures. I need to work with him grinding the bases for the sculptures, and suddenly I find myself, to make a quick buck. The problem is I just found out I am six weeks pregnant. I was told that walnut dust is toxic and most of what he used to be walnut. There would be a possibility I certainly capable of all the loops for him to do (for example, a dust mask, grinding outdoor …)?

I do not think wood dust is toxic at all – not a natural tree anyway … but yes, you should wear a mask and sand (in large well-ventilated room or outside) while you are pregnant or not pregnant, I use to love working with wood when I was pregnant the smell is refreshing – wish I could do, where I am now worried, but unfortunately i cannot: (Good luck, and currently too much – stress is more dangerous than anything Mother Nature made: p
